H is for Hot Dog

Hot dogs have always been one of my go-to junk foods. If I am eating alone, then there is a pretty good chance that I will be eating hot dogs (my wife is not so fond of them for some peculiar reason). So, in January 2015, when LEGO released Minifigures Series 13, and it contained Hot Dog Man, I was quite thrilled. This is possibly my favorite Minifigure of all time. It is rare that I will go hunting for a duplicate of a character, but I made an exception here. I have two of these guys pushing hot dog carts around my LEGO city.

Hot Dog Man was the first Minifigure to ever come dressed up as food. The Hot Dog costume was uniquely made for Series 13, but has since appeared in the LEGO Friends theme. Hot Dog Man has also made his way into LEGO movies. The first time I caught a glimpse of him on film was in LEGO‘s Jurassic World: The Indominus Escape (you can click here to read my review). He played a hilarious and integral part in the movie’s plot as hot dogs were the choice meal of the Indominus rex. I was inspired by that to use my own figurines to take the photo below. Hot Dog Man has also recently appeared in the trailer for the upcoming LEGO Ninjago Movie.

  1. I didn’t know there was a Hot Dog Man with Lego! Very cool.

I saw your link on the A to Z blog and had to check it out. I, too, wrote about Hot Dogs today. (And now, I am hungry for one.)

  2. I’m not a big fan of hot dogs either. They oddly give me migraines when I eat them. My hubby heats them up late at night as his midnight snacks to get his fix.
