You may or may not have noticed, but my blogging has slowed down a little of late. Work is starting to get in the way again, and is consuming copious amounts of my free time. Stress levels are high, and hobbies are falling by the wayside. It is a struggle to squeeze in my gym time and enough sleep to stay healthy.
I am developing content for my blog, by it is progressing at a snail’s pace. Today’s post was inspired by a photo that I actually took a few weeks ago and forgot about. I had meant it as a #WordlessWednesday post, but it became a little something more in my current rush. This week’s post is a throwback to 1994 with King Kahuka from the Islanders theme.

The Islanders were probably my favorite theme from when I was younger. I had (and still have) every set. It was nice to rediscover this photo today because it reminded me of a simpler era when there was more time for LEGO in my life. It also reminded me that I need to make time for myself in the here and now. The whole point of this blog was just that, taking time to enjoy things that I love, even when life gets busy.
So, tonight, I have stopped my rush for a few hours to present you with this picture, and then I am also going to go to bed early. Thanks, King Kahuka, for giving me a breather.
